Subaru Trailseeker EV Sells Out Immediately Upon Launch, Monthly Sales Triple Solterra's

The all-new Subaru battery-electric SUV Trailseeker has rapidly become the brand's best-selling electric model in the U.S. since its early-2026 launch. According to the latest sales data, Trailseeker achieved 1,077 units sold in July 2026 alone — more than three times Solterra's 138 units and nearly triple Uncharted's 359 units — demonstrating strong market momentum.

Notably, as of end-July 2026, Solterra remains Subaru's top-selling EV overall with cumulative sales of 5,275 units, while Trailseeker follows closely with 3,513 units and Uncharted stands at 2,850 units. Despite its later entry, Trailseeker's rapid growth has already propelled it to second place.

Officially dubbed an "all-terrain, rugged electric SUV," Trailseeker is sized closer to the Outback — over six inches longer and nearly one inch taller than Solterra, with a cabin volume of 97.5 cubic feet. It comes standard with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and 8.3 inches of ground clearance, enhancing off-road capability.

Trailseeker features a dual-motor AWD powertrain delivering a maximum combined output of 375 hp and accelerating 0–60 mph in just 4.3 seconds — the fastest production vehicle Subaru has ever sold in the U.S. Its 74.7 kWh battery pack delivers up to 281 miles (≈452 km) of EPA-estimated range and natively supports the NACS charging interface, enabling direct access to Tesla's Supercharger network.

For DC fast charging, Trailseeker supports up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. The interior adopts Subaru's latest design language, featuring a standard 14-inch infotainment touchscreen (with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and a six-speaker audio system.

Pricing starts at $39,995 for the base Premium trim (including a $1,475 destination fee; minor variations apply by state), which includes EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, heated front seats, power liftgate, trapezoidal roof rails, dual wireless charging pads, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The Limited and Touring trims start at $43,995 and $46,555 respectively, adding premium features including Harman Kardon audio, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and radiant foot-well heaters.
