NIO ES9 Six-Seat Aisle Version Begins Delivery, Battery-as-a-Service Starts at ¥390,000

Features 900V high-voltage architecture and dual-motor system; CLTC range up to 620 km

On July 6, NIO officially announced the commencement of deliveries for its large SUV — the NIO ES9 Six-Seat Aisle Version. The model launched earlier this year in three trims, with full-vehicle purchase prices ranging from ¥498,000 to ¥628,000; opting for the BaaS (Battery as a Service) battery leasing plan lowers the entry price to ¥390,000–¥520,000.

The NIO ES9 retains the brand's original X-Bar design language, featuring a striking 1-meter-tall Shark Nose front fascia and HDPL intelligent high-definition projection headlights to enhance visual identity. Integrated into the front fenders are new Senova Zhixing Light Sails — combining side-facing LiDAR sensors and ADAS indicator lights — with nine chrome-finished light steps embedded within. The rear features a 2.36-meter-long Light Flow Cluster taillight housing 662 Super Red LED bulbs. Its dimensions are 5,365 mm (L) × 2,029 mm (W) × 1,870 mm (H), with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm.

For intelligent driving, the Luxury Edition is equipped with one Shengji NX9031 chip, while the Signature Edition and Horizon Special Edition feature two such chips. Leveraging NIO's World Model architecture, the vehicle supports continuous OTA updates. Its full-domain Navigation on Pilot Plus (NOP+) function covers highways, urban express routes, and open city roads — enabling autonomous lane changes, overtaking, speed adjustment, and adaptive following across all scenarios.

The interior adopts an enveloping cockpit layout centered around a 1.5-meter-long "Sky Island" console with symmetrical left-right design. All trims include a standard 15.6-inch central touchscreen and dual 16-inch NIO Link executive rear-seat displays, powered by NIO's proprietary SkyOS·TianShu AI operating system and NOMI Intelligence 4.0 multi-agent architecture. Over one square meter of authentic maple-wood trim adorns the cabin, while seats and contact surfaces are wrapped in over eight square meters of full-grain, chromium-free Nappa leather. Four interior color schemes are offered: Cloud Beige, Tortoiseshell Brown, Sumu Red, and the newly added Cocoa Brown + Sand White two-tone option.

Under the hood, the NIO ES9 is built on a 900V high-voltage platform supporting 5C ultra-fast charging. It comes standard with a front 180 kW induction asynchronous motor and a rear 340 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor, delivering a combined system output of 520 kW and peak torque of 700 N·m — achieving 0–100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. CLTC all-electric range is offered in two variants: 600 km and 620 km, with identical powertrain specs across all trims. Additionally, the vehicle features the Tianxing Intelligent Chassis technology, anchored by FAS electro-hydraulic 48V fully active suspension.
