The July 2026 China passenger vehicle retail sales ranking has been released. According to the latest data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), new energy vehicles (NEVs) continue to dominate the market — nine of the top ten models are NEVs, with only TOYOTACOROLLA Ruifang securing tenth place with 14,510 units sold as the sole gasoline-powered model.

GEELY's micro pure-electric model Xingyuan (Geome Xingyuan, codenamed E2/EX2) retained the top spot with 32,306 units sold, extending its leadership streak since 2025. Close behind is Leapmotor A10 (B03X), with 26,424 units sold, ranking second. Notably, Leapmotor plans to launch the more entry-level A05 (B03) model soon, reportedly targeting higher cost-effectiveness and potentially intensifying competition in the A-segment pure-electric market.
Tesla Model Y ranked third with 25,158 units sold — the only model in the top ten priced above RMB 260,000, with an official MSRP range of RMB 263,500–313,500. Xiaomi SU7 ranked fourth with 21,044 units; FANG CHENG BAOLeopard 5 (Ti 7) sold 20,320 units, accounting for nearly half of its global monthly volume (41,213 units); BYDYuan Up (Atto 2) and NEVO Q05 followed in sixth and seventh places with 20,275 and 18,871 units respectively.
Li i6 ranked eighth with 15,420 units sold — its performance may reflect a temporary cooling in the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segment. BYDSealion 06 (available in both BEV and PHEV versions) ranked ninth with 15,395 units, joining FANG CHENG BAO Ti 7 as the only two plug-in hybrid models on the list. Among traditional automakers, NEVO Q05 stands as the sole state-owned brand to break into the top ten.
