On July 12, FAW Bestune officially launched its all-new midsize sedan — the Yueyi 08. The model is offered in six trims, with an official price range of ¥104,900–¥144,900; after factoring in purchase incentives, the effective price drops to ¥99,900–¥139,900.
Notably, the Yueyi 08 offers both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains — a strategic move underscoring FAW Bestune's commitment to the new energy vehicle segment. The BEV variants deliver CLTC all-electric ranges of 565 km and 650 km, respectively; the EREV version offers a CLTC pure-electric range of 240 km and a total combined range of 1,765 km. All variants feature a rear-mounted single-motor layout with a maximum output of 202 kW.
Exterior styling adopts a closed front grille and the 'Starry River Waterfall Lighting System' — composed of 216 LED sources and supporting six intelligent light signatures. Higher trims are equipped with LiDAR and 27 full-dimensional perception sensors, powered by the HUAWEI Qiankun ADS computing platform, enabling highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and fully automated parking. Dimensions measure 4,920 × 1,920 × 1,475 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm and a drag coefficient as low as 0.198.
The interior features an enveloping cockpit design, with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and the Ruyi OS, supporting AI large language models, HUAWEI HiCar, and Carlink connectivity. Front seats offer 12-way power adjustment; heating, ventilation, and massage functions are available for all four seats. Standard equipment includes 64-color ambient lighting, a 23-speaker audio system, and front wireless charging. The trunk offers 618 L of standard capacity, expandable up to 1,794 L.
In terms of competition, the Yueyi 08 will directly challenge BEV rivals such as the Arcfox S5 and BYD Seal 06, while also pursuing a differentiated positioning against conventional fuel-powered family sedans like the TOYOTA COROLLA and Levin. However, FAW Bestune has maintained relatively modest market visibility in recent years, and consumer brand awareness remains limited — translating strong product capability into sustained sales volume will depend on continued dealer network support and positive user word-of-mouth.
