The Sealion 08 is offered in both pure electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants, with a starting price of RMB 229,900. The BEV version starts at RMB 239,900 and features a 115.072 kWh battery pack, delivering up to 900 km of CLTC all-electric range for rear-wheel-drive models and 800 km for all-wheel-drive models. The PHEV variant is equipped with a 55.843 kWh battery, offering 400 km of CLTC pure-electric range and a combined range of 1,650 km.

All trims come standard with BYD's latest Blade Battery 2.0 and fast charging technology, enabling a charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and a full 10%–97% recharge in only nine minutes. The vehicle measures 5,115 mm × 1,999 mm × 1,800 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm, and offers both five- and six-seat configurations, as well as rear-wheel or all-wheel drive options.

Inside, the Sealion 08 features a 17.3-inch floating central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 26-inch AR-HUD, and a 21.4-inch rear-seat entertainment screen that folds down from the roof. Additional highlights include an in-car refrigerator, zero-gravity seats, and a 25-speaker Dynaudio audio system. For intelligent driving, every model comes standard with DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension and the 'God's Eye B' ADAS system, powered by the 'God's Eye 5.0' intelligent driving platform.

Notably, BYD's previous flagship 'Datang' model also achieved over 30,000 orders on its launch day. As BYD's new flagship, the rapid order ramp-up of the Sealion 08 may further solidify BYD's leadership position in China's mid-to-large-size new energy SUV segment.
