Xiaomi Pengcheng N70/N90 to Launch on September 7 — A New Species of Extended-Range SUV

Xiaomi Auto has officially announced that its all-new family-oriented intelligent extended-range SUV series — the Xiaomi Pengcheng N70 and N90 — will launch on September 7, 2026. Three initial variants will debut: N70 Pro, N70 Max, and N90 Max. Pre-order pricing for the N70 Max and N90 Max has been revealed at ¥259,900 and ¥299,900, respectively.

As a pivotal expansion into the family mobility segment following the SU7 and YU7, the Pengcheng N-series is positioned as a mid-to-large-size intelligent extended-range SUV, emphasizing a "multi-form adaptable cabin" and "full-scenario family mobility." Its design language carries forward Xiaomi's signature styling cues: a dragonfly-wing-style DRL and cross-shaped headlamps — delivering 605 meters of high-beam reach and an ultra-wide 180° low-beam coverage. The rear features a three-dimensional star-ring taillight for strong visual recognition.

The N70 Max measures 4,960 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,765 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. The larger N90 Max stretches to 5,285 mm × 1,998 mm × 1,825 mm, with a 3,080-mm wheelbase and optional third-row seating. Its standard trunk capacity is 577 L, expanding to a maximum of 1,831 L when the second and third rows fold flat. Both models feature standard front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension, plus air springs and continuously variable damping shock absorbers.

Powertrain-wise, both N70 and N90 are powered by a 1.5T range extender (max output: 112 kW) paired with a dual-motor system (front/rear motor outputs: 210 kW / 100 kW), achieving 0–100 km/h in 5.5 seconds (N70) and 5.9 seconds (N90). Two battery options are available: 76 kWh and 52 kWh. The N70 Max delivers a CLTC all-electric range of 505 km and a combined range of 1,461 km; the N90 Max offers a CLTC all-electric range of 464 km, gains 285 km of range in just 15 minutes of fast charging, and achieves a CLTC combined range of 1,705 km.

For the intelligent cockpit, all trims come standard with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 20-inch HUD, and a 16.1-inch central touchscreen running HyperOS on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8650 chip. The system integrates the Super Xiao Ai voice assistant, supporting dynamic in-cabin voice zone detection and external voice interaction. The N90 Max adds a sliding center console island, a 6.6-L hidden storage compartment, a 9-L compressor-powered refrigerator, and the 25-speaker Xiaomi Starstring audio system (7.1.4 acoustic architecture).

Intelligent driving hardware includes a roof-mounted LiDAR, a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The compute platform is NVIDIA's 700-TOPS Thor chip. All models come standard with Xiaomi's HAD XLA cognitive large model, enabling highway and urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) as well as valet parking assistance.
