The interior details of Chery's global new-energy brand iCaur (marketed domestically as iCAR) — the all-new midsize extended-range electric SUV iCaur V25 — have recently been revealed in China. The vehicle is expected to officially launch within 2026. As iCaur's third global model following the V23 compact BEV SUV and the V27 midsize extended-range off-roader, the V25 targets versatile use cases spanning urban commuting and light off-road driving.

According to spy photos published by Autohome on July 29, the iCaur V25's interior maintains a minimalist, functional design: a slim center console features a large floating touchscreen; a fully digital instrument cluster, three independent AC vents, and a row of physical buttons are arranged with clarity; an electronic column-mounted shifter sits behind the steering wheel; the center console integrates dual wireless charging pads and dual cupholders; and a concealed storage compartment beneath houses three USB-C charging ports. Seats are upholstered in synthetic leather and configured in a 2+3 five-seat layout. Door panels are robustly constructed, and the vehicle's curb weight ranges from 2,117–2,240 kg depending on powertrain configuration. A tow hook is standard, with a maximum towing capacity of 1,800 kg.
The iCaur V25 measures 4,636 × 1,920 × 1,855 mm, with a 2,820-mm wheelbase. Its styling adopts a boxy, rugged 'Boxy SUV' language, featuring round LED headlights, thick front and rear bumpers, semi-concealed door handles, and an integrated storage compartment in the tailgate. Optional 19- or 21-inch wheels are available, with approach and departure angles of 28° and 24°, respectively.
Per MIIT's official type-approval documentation, the vehicle uses a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine solely as a range extender — delivering peak output of 115 kW (154 hp) and powering only the generator, not the wheels. It pairs with a 33.67 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a CLTC all-electric range of 145–150 km and a combined range exceeding 1,000 km. Official specifications for the drive motor remain undisclosed.
Data shows iCaur delivered 24,944 units in China during January–June 2026, down 37% year-on-year; June sales totaled 5,032 units, a 27.3% decline year-on-year. The V25 is viewed as a key volume driver to revitalize brand sales — though final pricing, launch timing, and trim-level strategy await official confirmation.
