BMW X7 M60 Spy Shots Leaked! 4.4T V8 + 600 hp, Global Debut Late Spring 2027

Spy shots of the all-new BMW X7 M60 xDrive high-performance variant have recently surfaced. The test mule is undergoing dynamic performance calibration at the Nürburgring track, fully wrapped in heavy camouflage; its headlights and taillights are temporary prototypes, and the final production design remains unconfirmed.

The new model is positioned as BMW's largest three-row luxury SUV — over 5 meters long with a wheelbase exceeding 3 meters — and will be launched as a 2028 model year vehicle. It is scheduled for global debut in late spring 2027 and market launch later that same year. Its exterior does not adopt the Neue Klasse pure-electric design language; instead, front and rear styling cues draw inspiration from the facelifted 7 Series, preserving the traditional internal-combustion flagship aesthetic. Powertrain confirmation includes a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine, with peak output expected to exceed 600 hp, paired with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The M60 represents the highest-performance combustion-engine variant in the lineup; a full-fledged M-badged version may be omitted, while a high-performance derivative — potentially branded 'M100' — could fill that role. The all-electric iX7 variant is under parallel development, though its launch timing has yet to be announced.
