This limited edition features a black-framed dual-kidney grille and darkened LED headlights for enhanced nocturnal styling distinction. The sedan is finished in Laguna Seca Blue, paired with black 19-/20-inch 826M wheels and blue M high-performance brake calipers; the wagon wears Wildberry Red paint, matched with cognac-copper 19-/20-inch wheels and red brake calipers. Both models feature an exclusive '40th Anniversary Limited Edition' badge embedded in the roof.

Inside, standard equipment includes M carbon-fiber bucket seats and full Merino leather upholstery in a Silverstone White and black two-tone scheme. The welcome sills, front headrests, and center cup holder all bear the limited-edition badge. The sedan's stitching is Polar Blue, while the wagon's is Amethyst Purple. The steering wheel is wrapped in M multifunction Alcantara with heating. Power remains unchanged: a 3.0L inline-six twin-turbo engine delivering 530 hp (390 kW), mated to the M xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system. The sedan's top speed is 290 km/h; the wagon's is 280 km/h.
