Lexus NX Overseas Refresh Launches September 1: Redesigned Lighting + RAV4-Sourced Hybrid Powertrains

Lexus recently released a teaser video via overseas social media, confirming the official launch of the 2026 NX overseas refresh on September 1.

The teaser focuses on the internal structure of the front headlight assembly, indicating a significant redesign; overall exterior contours remain largely unchanged from the current model, with minor adjustments to details such as the D-pillar. The interior has not yet been revealed, though upgrades are expected to center on the cabin.

In terms of intelligence, the new model is expected to feature the ARENE infotainment system — shared with the overseas-spec TOYOTA RAV4 — and will upgrade to the LSS+ 4.0 driver-assistance system, supporting features including FCTA (Front Cross-Traffic Alert), PCS (Pre-Collision System), BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring), and LDA (Lane Departure Alert). Powertrain options may mirror those of the RAV4: the hybrid variant delivers a combined output of 240 hp (front motor: 100 kW + rear motor: 40 kW); the plug-in hybrid variant delivers a combined output of 329 hp (front motor: 150 kW + rear motor: 40 kW), with a WLTC all-electric range of approximately 150 km. The 2.4T gasoline-only NX variant will be discontinued in the Japanese market; the status of gasoline variants in other markets remains unconfirmed.
