Pagani Huayra 70 Derecho Official Images Unveiled: A Storm-Aesthetic Hypercar Custom-Built for Founder's 70th Birthday

To honor brand founder Horacio Pagani's 70th birthday, Pagani has officially unveiled the new limited-edition bespoke model — the Huayra 70 Derecho — via official images. The car will make its world premiere in physical form from July 9–12, 2026 at the UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed, becoming the second of three commemorative models in the Huayra 70 series crafted by Pagani's exclusive high-end customization division, Grandi Complicazioni.

The name Huayra 70 Derecho draws inspiration from a rare, powerful convective storm characterized by stable, sustained, and straight-line winds. Pagani explains that this natural phenomenon precisely embodies the car's design philosophy: combining stable power delivery, precise handling, and raw, visceral impact — with a driving stance that remains poised, sharp, and unwaveringly on course.

As a Grandi Complicazioni deep-custom project, no off-the-shelf components are used. Its exterior features an exclusive two-tone paint scheme: Pearl Orange paired with Deep Translucent Blue. The lower bodywork and monocoque are finished in translucent navy-blue carbon fiber — enhancing both lightweight visual appeal and aggressive front-downforce dynamics — while the main body panels wear the Pearl Orange lacquer, revealing subtle golden shimmer and clearly showcasing hand-woven herringbone carbon fiber texture under sunlight.

Multiple body elements incorporate solid milled aluminum parts, surface-treated with bright titanium anodization. A bespoke Huayra 70 titanium alloy wheel set — developed in parallel — ensures stylistic continuity across all interior and exterior metal trim. Inside, the cabin upholds Pagani's tradition of artisanal craftsmanship: ceramic-white leather is seamlessly joined with tri-tone blue leather; all stitching uses custom-contrasting thread colors, meeting the exacting standards of premium handmade leather goods. The 12 o'clock steering wheel marker and shift paddles are coated in the same Pearl Orange hue, completing a cohesive, internally consistent color language.

Pagani has not yet disclosed the Huayra 70 Derecho's powertrain specifications, production volume, delivery timeline, or pricing. These details are expected to be revealed gradually during the Goodwood Festival of Speed event. As the second installment of the Huayra 70 series, a third and final commemorative model in the same lineage is slated for future release.
