ROEWE is a vehicle brand launched by SAIC Motor in October 2006. Its technology foundation comes from the former Rover brand, though SAIC did not acquire the Rover name. ROEWE’s name implies 'glory and power across the world.' In just four years, the brand expanded rapidly into the mid-size and mid-to-high-end car markets, with 'technology' becoming a core part of its brand identity.
