Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp., Ltd. (JAC Motors) was founded in 1964. It is a comprehensive automotive enterprise group that integrates the R&D, manufacturing, sales, and service of a full range of commercial vehicles, passenger cars, and powertrains, and also spans fields such as mobility services and financial services. JAC Motors has been recognized as a National Key High-Tech Enterprise and ranked among China's top seven automotive brands. It was the first comprehensive automotive group to win China’s highest industrial honor—the China Industrial Award.
JAC’s main products include heavy, medium, light, and mini trucks, multi-functional commercial vehicles, MPVs, SUVs, sedans, buses, specialized chassis, transmissions, engines, and axles. It has established four core business areas: fuel and new energy vehicle manufacturing (for passenger, commercial, and bus vehicles), core components, mobility, and automotive services—committed to building a comprehensive platform spanning the full ecological, industrial, and value chain.
With a team of nearly 5,000 R&D professionals, JAC adheres to a technical development path focused on energy efficiency, environmental protection, safety, intelligence, connectivity, and comfort. As a pioneer in China’s new energy vehicle industry since 2007, JAC has developed nine generations of technology and four generations of products, accumulating leading expertise in core electric drive technologies. In the intelligent vehicle field, JAC has concentrated efforts on six core and five common technologies, establishing the “Anhui Key Laboratory for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology,” the first CNAS-accredited lab in this field in China, and Hefei's only designated test base for autonomous driving. JAC has forged long-term strategic partnerships in intelligent technology R&D with tech giants like Huawei, Horizon Robotics, iFLYTEK, Black Sesame, and BOE.
JAC has established joint ventures with leading companies such as Volkswagen and NIO. Its NEV joint venture with Volkswagen is considered a flagship manufacturing project in Anhui Province. The world-class smart factory co-built with NIO features China’s first high-end full aluminum body production line and a welding automation rate of 97.5%, reaching world-class levels.
In response to the Belt and Road Initiative, JAC acquired Kazakhstan’s largest auto group Allur in 2019, marking a major step in expanding into the Customs Union and Central Asia. By the end of 2022, JAC had exported over 850,000 vehicles to more than 70 Belt and Road countries, accounting for over 80% of its total exports. Guided by the principle of “No Intelligence, No Car,” JAC continues to innovate in intelligent mobility solutions, aiming to become a global leader in smart vehicles by offering technologies that users can feel, understand, use, and enjoy.
