Maybach

Maybach (German: Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH) was a legendary ultra-luxury automotive brand active in Europe between 1921 and 1940. Founded by Karl Maybach, son of Wilhelm Maybach (former chief engineer of Daimler), the brand shares deep historical ties with Mercedes-Benz. In 1997, DaimlerChrysler revived the brand with a concept car unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show. However, due to poor market performance, Maybach production ceased in 2013. On November 19, 2014, Mercedes-Benz launched its new sub-brand Mercedes-Maybach in Guangzhou, with the Maybach S-Class making its global debut.
