MG

MG (Morris Garages), established in 1924, is a British automotive brand known for its iconic roadsters featuring stylish design, fine craftsmanship, and excellent performance. William Morris, who started as a bicycle repairman in Worcester with just £4, set up Morris Garages in 1910. The brand eventually shifted to automobile production in 1920. On July 22, 2005, Nanjing Automobile Group acquired MG Rover and its engine division, marking one of China’s first major overseas automotive acquisitions. The merged entity became Nanjing MG. In 2007, SAIC Motor fully acquired Nanjing Auto, making MG a part of SAIC’s brand portfolio.
