Zotye Auto, established in 2003 and headquartered in Yongkang, Zhejiang, is a private enterprise focusing on vehicle manufacturing, including complete vehicles and core components like engines and transmissions. It operates production bases in Zhejiang and Hunan, among others. The company owns the Zotye and Jiangnan brands, with a product range covering sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and NEVs. It has a widespread domestic network and exports to Algeria, Chile, Russia, and more. In 2015, sales exceeded 220,000 units. Zotye was an early mover in China’s NEV industry, pioneering several 'firsts' and partnering with the State Grid in EV operational models. Its engineering institute supports development in both conventional and electric vehicles, with R&D centers in Japan and Europe, and collaborations with top firms like Pininfarina.
